1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the SwiviKa mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Service Description
SwiviKa is a mobile application that provides the following features:
- USCIS immigration case status tracking using receipt numbers
- Push notifications for case status updates
- A community forum for users to share information and support each other
- Multi-language support (English, Haitian Creole, and Spanish)
3. Not Legal Advice — No Government Affiliation
SwiviKa is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), or any other government agency.
The information provided through SwiviKa is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Case status information is retrieved from the USCIS Case Status API and displayed as-is. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of case status information.
For legal advice regarding your immigration case, please consult a licensed immigration attorney or accredited representative.
4. USCIS Data Usage
Case status data displayed in SwiviKa is sourced from the official USCIS Case Status API. This data is provided by USCIS and is subject to the USCIS Website Policies and Terms of Use.
SwiviKa displays case status information as received from USCIS without modification. We are not responsible for any inaccuracies or delays in the data provided by USCIS.
5. User Responsibilities
When using SwiviKa, you agree to:
- Provide accurate USCIS receipt numbers that belong to you or that you are authorized to track
- Not use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Not interfere with or disrupt the App's servers, networks, or infrastructure
- Not use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the App or its data
- Not impersonate any person or entity in the community forum
6. Account Terms
SwiviKa uses Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and any activity that occurs under your SwiviKa account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or compromise the security or integrity of the App.
7. Community Guidelines
When using the community forum, you agree not to post content that:
- Contains harassment, hate speech, threats, or discrimination
- Is spam, advertising, or self-promotion (without authorization)
- Shares other people's personal immigration information without consent
- Contains false, misleading, or fraudulent information about immigration processes
- Violates any applicable laws or regulations
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.
8. Intellectual Property
The SwiviKa name, logo, and branding are the property of SwiviKa. All rights reserved. The App's design, code, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
By posting content in the community forum, you grant SwiviKa a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the App. You retain ownership of your content and may delete it at any time.
9. Advertising
SwiviKa displays advertisements through Google AdMob and partner advertising. The App is free to use, and advertising helps support its continued development and maintenance.
We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Interaction with advertisers is solely between you and the advertiser.
10. Limitation of Liability
SwiviKa is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The App will be available at all times without interruption
- Case status information will be accurate, complete, or current
- The App will be free of errors or security vulnerabilities
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SwiviKa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to damages resulting from inaccurate case status information or missed notifications.
11. Termination
You may stop using SwiviKa at any time by deleting your account through the App's Settings screen or by contacting us. We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms.
Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and notify users through an in-app notification. Your continued use of SwiviKa after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
